La propulsione ibrida ha permesso ai tecnici di Maranello di realizzare una vettura da 963 cavalli: il sistema Hy-Kers è compoto da un motore termico V12 da 6.3 litri capace di 800 cavalli e 9.250 giri al minuto, mentre il propulsore elettrico da 120 kW porta la potenza massima a quota 963 cavalli, con una coppia motrice "immensa"...cioè superiore ai 900 Nm.
La trasmissione è gestita da un cambio automatico doppia frizione a sette rapporti che permette un'accelerazione da 0 a 100 chilometri orari in meno di 3 secondi, uno 0-200 in meno di 7 secondi ed uno scatto da ferma fino a raggiungere i 300 chilometri orari in circa 15 secondi. Con una produzione limitata a 499 esemplari, la casa del Cavallino Rampante ha realizzato una vettura che è già entrata di diritto nella storia della Ferrari e dell'automobilismo, vale a dire LaFerrari per eccelenza, nel vero senso della parola.

Officially unlieved at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, the new hypercar from the Prancing Horse has immediately astounded.Thanks to the hybrid architecture, the technicians of Maranello managed to design a car with 963 horsepowers. The Hy-Kers system is based on a 6.3-liter V12 thermic engine capable of delivering an output of 800 horsepowers and revving to 9.350 rpms. The system is also fitted with a 120-kW electric engine, reaching a total of 963 horsepowers and characterised by an incredible torque of more than 900Nm. The seven-speed dual cluch gearbox allows LaFerrari to sprint from 0 to 100 in less than 3 seconds, from 0 to 200 in less than 7 seconds and reach a top speed of over than 300 km/h in about 15 seconds.With a limited production of 499 exemplars, the Prancing Horse house has realised a car which has already gone down in Ferrari history and in the whole race car history. It is a real hypercar, LaFerrari (a name that literally translates to The Ferrari in Italian) in the true sense of the word.
